Seeing Ireland through the eyes of my visitors
Denise and Gary O'Connor (now what a beautiful name to visit Ireland with) are old friends from Perth who visited last weekend. With only two days in Dublin they had a quest to fit in as much as they could in a night and a day with their local tour guide - me. What was lovely, is not only did I get to hear people with a lovely Australian accent I also got to revisit some of my favourite places in Dublin - Leon's Cafe for hot chocolate and lemon tart, the Abbey Tavern for traditional music and Irish whiskey and O'Connell Street (where amazingly I have no food or drink connections). We were never far from water be it the canal or the river - both pictured above. Denise and Gary commented how they hadn't expected Dublin to be so beautiful with its old Georgian architecture and lovely little streets such as the ones in Temple Bar and I felt very lucky to have spent my few months living in such a vibrant place.
